Drawing my own comics

WIP TITLE: 1 Peso of Memories*

Just recently, I got inspired (again) to draw a comics (or manga, whatever, I'm not Japanese though so word-usage-wise it is comics). I've been attempting to for the past decade. However, I never even get past the second page. When I start imagining what to draw, I end up spending the rest of the day (or night) imagining xxx and melts into sticky, sordid goo.

I'm not gonna share them plots, however, because they're actually decent. Most of them are BL stories. I LOVE THEM TO DEATH! I meant, I love my original characters. I've been imagining about them ever since high school! They might have been the reasons why I never allow myself to fall in love. I AM IN LOVE WITH THEM.

However, now I really want to pursue this comic - a shoujo story with (hetero) romance. And the plot is something closest to me. :)

Well, that *above* is the first page. I really don't know how to draw comics, to be honest. But I think I've read a lot to have solid reference. I'll try to make it simple. Another one of the reasons why I never seem to continue drawing them is because I make too complicated layout for my ability. I hope my drawing skills also improve.

I'll try to post if I finish a chapter.

*I'm aiming to make this as Filipino as possible. It can't be helped that my drawing "style" (emphasized because I just randomly draw however I want) is based from manga. I am fond of western-style comics, though - the simple clean ones without heavy details.

Good Morning!

Lately, I've been having LSS of this song "POMFPOMFPOMF" by Nyanners. It's amazing, really. Nice and catchy.

I also tried singing "OHAYOU" by Keno. First opening song of HunterXHunter anime (really good anime, too, by Yoshihiro Togashi, the person responsible for corrupting my innocent mind). Amazingly, I could sing it more properly than other Japanese songs I attempted (namely: Fukai Mori, Tangerine Dream, Konayuki, and March 9).

I've been getting awkward.  Something's in the way and I can't even see the obvious things.

Counldn't say things like "It's probably all wrong" , and I was lost in myself.

Isn't it nice? The lyrics inspires me to write another SenRu fanfiction! It's been ages since I wrote anything. I was a bad writer, but I still smile whenever I read my past works! Those were the days I was so inspired.

The lyrics also makes me curious how it actually is to be together with someone you like (romantically). Just a bit, though. I hate romance when it has something to do with me.

Just a trivia, by the way. My Nihongo teacher once told us that Japanese are very conscious of their time. You greet people "ohayou" before 10am. Beyond that time, you'll have to use "konnichi wa" (which means good day).

SD Mania

Recently, I started re-reading Slam Dunk manga. This is probably my fourth or fifth time reading the manga - from start to finish!! I can therefore say Slam Dunk is my most favorite non-BL manga. The characters, the events and dialogues - I just can't find them tiring! Not to mention the fact that two of my most favorite 2D characters are in this series, namely: Sendoh Akira and Rukawa Kaede! My most favorite cracked pairing, too!

I like Rukawa Kaede. People may find him aloof and non-sociable, but I actually find him funny! He rarely speaks, but when he does he makes sense. Whenever I see panels of him, I usually end up gushing. But hey, I'd like to imagine I'm Sendoh Akira who is head over heels in love with Kaede.

Anyway, excerpt pages!

Tada! Sendoh Akira during Shohoku's practice match against Ryonan. Sendoh Akira is Ryonan's ace player. However, the reason I captured this page is because of those girls in the background. I found their poses hilarious.

This is against Shoyo, the second strongest team. Sakuragi Hanamichi performed well and even managed to make a successful but un-counted slam dunk. Sakuragi fouled out, but here was Rukawa actually complimenting him.

Rukawa is a nice and honest person. He is not indifferent. It's just that he keeps quiet most of the time because he probably thinks speaking too much is unnecessary.

Haha! I included this because of Sendoh's choice of word. Or maybe it's just the scanlators. But "fabulous"? Come on, that's so gay.

I may be a fan of SenRu (Sendoh and Rukawa, together), but I can't help noticing unnecessary things like this one. This is probably not the only time they're sitting close together and I wonder! They hate skin contact with each other, but they don't mind sitting this close? Of course, logic says it can't be helped. It just proves, however, that they're actually very comfortable with each other no matter how they pretend to be enemies. @Sakuragi and Rukawa

Sendoh is too adorable and too handsome. I especially like the first panel. I also like him very much when he sucks on lemon. I love this guy no matter what he does.

Another proof of Rukawa's weird sense of humor (although I believe he's just really being honest). This was before their match against Ryonan and Anzai-sensei was rushed to the hospital. Sakuragi still needed to finish 172 jump shots and Mitsui, Ryota and Rukawa (amazingly) offered to help.

And a crazy hint for SenRu. In this team shot, Sendoh and Rukawa both had their eyes close! =D I think Rukawa, Sendoh and Fujima (Shoyo's muse coach and point guard) are the only ones portrayed with longer lashes. 

Sendoh IS Rukawa'S. Get it? Spoken by the great captain himself, Takenori Akagi.

And Sendoh knows it. Rukawa demands most of his attention. He is childish that way. ^.~

Suddenly, AYAKO! Just because I like my gays (er, guys) doesn't mean I do not appreciate beautiful female characters! I think Ayako is amazing and very beautiful. And I like this colored illustration of her.

Added because of Kaede's humor again. During Shohoku's official match against Ryonan, he was challenging Sendoh to one-on-one and competed against Ryonan's ace over scoring. I like this event because Rukawa was very chatty (with Sendoh, of course).

And Inoue's All-Stars! Notice how close Sendoh and Rukawa is? I absolutely love these two guys. Whenever I read Slam Dunk, I end up reading doujinshis (especially Deep Purple by Prin-san) and fanfictions! Slam Dunk has really good fan fiction writers.

Yep, sorry for bombarding you with scenes from this event. I can't wait to reach the Sannoh match again and read Sendoh and Rukawa's conversation regarding Sawakita Eiji.
